LoRa Meshtastic and ATAK
This robust and unique combination of systems, will make the tower a multi-purpose communication hub — supporting farmers, families, schools, and emergency preparedness efforts throughout Northeastern Colorado.
LoRa Meshtastic Relay System
To expand local connectivity, we plan to include a Spec5 Relay Solar-Powered Meshtastic LoRa node with ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) capabilities. This system will allow for community-based messaging, coordination, and situational awareness, even in areas with no cell service.
GMRS you can count on.
GMRS Repeater Setup:
We’re looking to add a 50-watt high-power GMRS repeater, such as the BTECH GMRS-RPT50, equipped with auto ID and an integrated duplexer. This system will be paired with a Comet GP-9NC Commercial Dual Band GMRS/FRS Antenna, all connected with LMR400 50-Ohm Coax Cable (100 ft) for maximum signal strength and reliability.
